SPANISH TAPAS

Escape to the bustling streets of exciting Barcelona while exploring the world of Spanish Tapas! Bursting with flavour, color and fragrance, these delicious morsels will sure to make you the most enviable host at your next dinner parties!

A Tapa is an appetizer or snack and translates to a small portion of any kind of Spanish cuisine. Tapa may be served cold or hot, and eaten whilst grazing or even combined to make a full meal. In this energetic and interactive class, you will learn how to master three restaurant-worthy tapas which are well-renowned in Spain. Our Chef Instructor will enlighten you on the background of Tapa culture, before taking you through a detailed demonstration of how to construct each of the dishes. You will then be guided step-by-step in replicating how to make three classic Tapa including Tortilla Espanola (Spanish Omelette), Gambas al Ajillo (Garlic Shrimps) and Piquillo Peppers stuffed with whipped Truffled Goat Cheese. After creating your Spanish masterpieces, our Chef Instructor shall recommend Spanish Wine pairings, before you eat your Tapa creations to your hearts content! Buen Provecho!

No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the baking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting. You will work with other students in groups of 2-4. Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in, especially if you’re part of a large group. Drinks are available for purchase from the venue and are NOT included in the ticket price. Outside drinks are not allowed. 21+ only.

About Adriel:
Chef Adriel is a hospitality guru having been in the industry for over nineteen years. He has thrived in the roles of Executive Chef, Certified Wine Sommelier, Mixologist, General Manager, Food & Beverage Director and Service Director. He has accumulated a wealth of knowledge from working within a variety of establishments, ranging from 3 Michelin starred restaurants, to Five-Diamond Hotels, to some of the most exclusive nightclubs in New York City. Chef Adriel has authored food & beverage menus for restaurants and bars and organised and hosted events and competitions alike. Having achieved a formal education in wine and hospitality, Chef Adriel prides himself in passing on his culinary knowledge to staff, guests and his students. He also loves incorporating his Spanish and Cuban heritage into his food and wine classes, showcasing all of the incredible flavours and styles these cultures bring.
